0.9.23.01-beta
October 28, 2026
- Better: setting up two-factor sign-in now shows a QR code to scan with your authenticator app, so nobody has to type 32 letters on a phone keyboard. The typed key is still there for anyone who prefers it.
- New for our team: add people to a practice from the admin panel (Tenants → People → + Add user): name, email, role, and a temporary password, a typed one or an emailed link. Manage can now change someone’s role or turn their account off, and the practice always keeps at least one owner. For when the owner locks herself out and the office manager still needs in.
- Better: on the practice server’s status window, Backups shows as a calm grey Not monitored unless MAV Computers is watching that practice’s backups. No more red for something nobody asked us to check.
- Fixed: clicking the Chairlytics icon on the practice server (or Show status… in its menu) opens the status window again. It had been opening, just invisibly, which is the least helpful kind of opening. A single click now does it too.
- Better for our team: the Client Setup Guide is up to date with today’s screens, and there’s a new Office Chat Setup Guide next to it under Help & tools: turning it on, people, rooms and rules, setting up each PC, the room board, iPads and what to do when something’s off.
- Fixed for our team: the Go live button on a practice’s onboarding checklist now actually goes live (it had been quietly opening the same panel again). Launch day, unblocked.
- Better for our team: the practice troubleshooter says when a practice server installed before October needs the update command run once, so short-notice cancellations and signed treatment plans can appear.

October 26, 2026
- New: Costs & Profit. Enter your monthly overhead and payroll per location in Practice Settings › Costs, and see estimated profit, overhead %, cost per day open, and what a doctor hour and a hygiene hour cost you (and earn you), plus a small “what if” table.
- New: Procedures shows hygiene add-ons per hygienist per day worked (fluoride, sealants, SRPs, Arestin, perio maintenance) and each doctor’s crowns vs fillings per day.
- New: Overview compares year by year: production by month with one line per year, and a “year to date” table that lines every year up to the same day. The date bar can now compare with the same period up to 4 years back.
- New: Scheduling counts kinds of day (full, hygiene only, doctor only, holidays, closed) per year, with average production for each. And no-shows, short-notice cancellations and cancellations with notice are now separate, with slots refilled and chair hours lost.
- New: Practice Settings can count treatment as accepted when the patient signs the treatment plan, and sets what “short notice” means (48 hours by default).
- New patient counts no longer treat long-time patients as new at the start of the data. Old friends, not new faces.
- Practice Settings saves again at real practices (the Save button quietly did nothing). It was shy; we had a word.
- Overdue recall lists each patient once. Open Dental keeps a separate recall for cleanings and for x-rays, and both were showing; the cleaning recall due soonest now decides, and the counts are per patient.

October 23, 2026
- New for our team: add or change a practice’s logo for them: Tenants › a practice › Overview › Logo. The practice’s activity log shows that MAV support did it.
- In the iPhone app, Huddle, Calls and Reports stay the width of the screen instead of sliding sideways, and Today and Alerts follow your Light or Dark choice (iPhone app 1.2.1). No more side-scrolling workouts.
- Better for our team: set someone’s password yourself when our emails aren’t reaching them: Tenants › a practice › People › Manage › Set a password. At a real practice they pick their own when they sign in with it, and two-factor stays on. Demo practices get easy passwords with no two-factor (also under Users & Roles › Set demo password), so showing clients around takes one try.
- The sign-in page reads clearer: encrypted in transit and at rest, HIPAA-ready, read-only by default, plus links to Status, What’s new and Help. On laptop screens the forecast card no longer sits on the small print. Manners.
- Better for our team: Integrations is now the catalog of add-ons: Texting services, Ask Chairlytics and Office Chat, each with its price, the plans that include it, the settings every practice gets and how it connects. Each practice’s page has a new Add-ons tab to switch them on or off, put them on the bill, and give that practice its own settings. Everything has a place now, even the add-ons.
- Our team’s morning email now only arrives when something needs a person, and it got dressed for work: a card per practice with what is wrong and what to do. Office PCs switched off overnight no longer count as a problem. Silence now means good news.
- Groundwork for something new wex27re not ready to talk about yet: built, tested, checked against the fine print, and switched off for now. Patience is a virtue (wex27re told).
0.9.18-beta
October 21, 2026
- New for our team: practice logos next to the names on Clients, Usage and Agent Updates, so the lists are quicker to scan.
- Better for our team: the Clients page swaps its tiny coloured dots for small labelled badges (“Online”, “Synced · 5 min”, “Backed up · 3 h”). Hover still gives the full story.
- New for our team: System Health now shows memory, traffic, response times and errors over the last 24 hours as charts, kept through restarts.
- The beta banner now shows only to practices, and the Today panel no longer says “1 of 0” servers are checking in. Maths restored.
- New: a second style for the App. Under your name › Appearance › Style, pick Website for the light, rounded look of chairlytics.com: a light menu, a frosted top bar, softer cards, pill buttons and a bigger hello on Today. Classic stays the default. Each device remembers its own choice, and dark mode stays dark.
- On phones, the hidden menu no longer casts a faint shadow along the left edge. Shadow puppets are fun, just not there.
- New: your practice’s logo. Upload it in Practice Settings and it shows in the menu for everyone at the practice, at the top of the morning and weekly emails, and on printed reports. Your brand, our charts.
- Better: the Call List has one “Log call” button per patient instead of four. Booked, left a message, no answer, not interested, call later or a note are one click inside it, so the list is calmer to read.
- Better: a fresh look. The top bar is down to the alerts bell and your name; your account, light or dark look, reporting a problem and signing out now live in the menu behind it.
- New: Today greets you and starts with what is worth doing: treatment already diagnosed for patients in the chair today, tomorrow’s unconfirmed appointments, and the most valuable calls on the list.
- Better: the Overview leads with production, collections and new patients against their goals, with every other number smaller, each with its own trend line and a heads-up when it is off target. Ring charts became bars, which are easier to compare.
- New: a welcome screen for brand-new practices that shows each setup step while the first data arrives. Waiting, but make it informative.
- Alerts for our team now land in the right inbox. Fewer forwarding hops, same bad news (hopefully rarely).
- New: a status page at chairlytics.com/status. Is the App up, is the website up, how fast they answer, and every hiccup in the last 30 days. Each is checked every minute from the other one’s server, so they keep an eye on each other. Like two dentists checking each other’s flossing.
- Pages are ready before you ask. When new data arrives, Chairlytics quietly prepares the pages you looked at recently, so they open straight away, and a busy practice no longer slows the others down.
- Backups now stream instead of loading everything into memory at once, so they stay light however much data there is. Same files, same lock, less heavy lifting.
- New for our team: a Usage page showing which pages each practice uses and how many of its people sign in, with a heads-up when a practice goes quiet. Page names and counts only, never patient details.
- When a practice’s account is paused, Office Chat pauses too. Every office PC and iPad shows a short note to contact us instead of the chat. Messages are kept and come back when the account is turned back on.
- New for our team: removing a practice for good. One button, two “are you sure?” checks, and a 7-day change-of-heart window. Chairlytics then tidies up after itself, office PCs and practice server included, and keeps only the records the law asks us to keep. Like a good houseguest.
- New: Office Chat on the iPad. Set an iPad up as a shared office iPad and it opens straight into Office Chat and the room board; staff sign in with their PIN, like on the office PCs. Owners get a Chat tab on their own iPad at the office.
- It works on the office Wi-Fi only, so messages still never leave the office. A call for help fills the iPad’s screen, even when nobody is signed in on it. Hard to miss, which is the point.
- Arrives with the next iPhone and iPad app update, plus the next practice server update for the iPad touches.
0.9.10-beta
October 20, 2026
- New in the iPhone app: a real iPhone Today screen and tab bar. Month to date against the goal, the forecast, yesterday, today and tomorrow, and the money on the table, drawn the iPhone way. Huddle, Calls and the reports are one tap away. It arrives with the next app update.
- New: notifications on your iPhone. The morning briefing and alerts can arrive on the lock screen. By default it just says “New alert”; the numbers show once you open the app with Face ID, unless you choose otherwise. Never a patient name.
- My account lists the phones that get notifications, with a Remove button.
- Office Chat can now be uninstalled from an office PC, or from every PC of a practice, from the admin panel. The PC removes it quietly the next time it is on, no clicking needed. Clean exits only.
- New in Office Chat: the room board. Today’s schedule by room on every office PC, straight from Open Dental: who is in the chair, waiting or running late, open time, and visits that will likely run long (judged from how long the same visit took at your office before).
- My room: an operatory PC can show its own room big (who is in the chair, who is next, the rest of the day) with every other room beside it.
- The morning huddle: each provider’s day on one page, with openings, medical alerts, unconfirmed and new patients, the calls due today and how full the week is.
- Call lists for the front desk: add patients, set a call date and a note, mark them contacted. Phone numbers come from Open Dental when you open the list.
- Send a patient into a message: “Ask in chat” on any visit, or copy the patient link and paste it. The card stays up to date, and “Open in Open Dental” takes you there.
- Everyone picks their own view: board and chat side by side, the board alone (wall TV), my room and chat, or chat only, plus which rooms, text size and more. It follows you to any PC.
- Pictures: take a photo with the PC’s camera or pick one, or choose initials on a color. They show on messages, rooms and calls for help.
- Operatory PCs never see appointment notes, phone numbers or call lists. All of it stays on your office’s own server; Chairlytics only learns that the board is working. Read-only, so Open Dental stays the boss.
0.9.8.01-beta
October 19, 2026
- Office Chat PCs can now be removed from the admin panel, and setting up the same PC again replaces its old entry instead of cloning it. One computer, one line. (The practice server part arrives with the next practice server update.)
- For the support team: a new Clients page shows every practice on one line with six colored dots (server, data, backups, program, chat, agreement), what each one needs, and a filter for “needs attention”. Click a dot to jump straight to the fix.
- The support team’s Today page now lists what to do, in order, with a button for each; what is waiting on a signature or an owner; and a seven-day strip showing how many practices were fine each day.
- Each practice’s panel has an onboarding checklist (agreement, owner, install code, server, first sync, backups, staff, chat, live) with a progress bar and a button for the next step, a “health now” list, and team notes that the practice never sees.
- Alerts for the support team: an email or text when a practice server goes quiet, a backup gets old, a release waits for a signature, or a new practice stalls, plus an optional morning summary. Each rule can be switched off, and there is a “send a test” button. Set it up under Admin Team.
- The Chairlytics icon on your practice server is now a small program signed by MAV Computers LLC instead of a PowerShell script. Same look, about a quarter of the memory, and it sits perfectly still when nothing is happening. Like a good receptionist.
- The practice server setup program is signed too, so Windows shows MAV Computers LLC as the publisher.
0.9.7-beta
October 18, 2026
- New: Office Chat, an add-on for the whole team: channels, direct messages, threads, reactions, edits, @mentions of people and rooms, PDF and Office files you can view or download, and search. One click calls for help on every PC, or summons a provider to your room.
- Office Chat runs on your practice’s own server. Messages and files never leave your office network; Chairlytics only sees how many. Included with Growth and Group, or $49 a month with Essentials.
- Rooms come with a ready-made list (Check-In, Operatory 01 to 12, Doctor 01, Sterile and more) that each office can rename or add to, and people link themselves to the room they are in. Summons follow you, not your chair.
- Office Chat got its own logo (the Chairlytics chair, now with something to say) and the same Light / Dark / Auto switch as Chairlytics.
- The Chairlytics window on your practice server is tidier: backups and Office Chat sit as small icons with a status light, click one for the details, and anything not turned on says so in plain grey. Room to grow.
- Faster, gentler syncs: each hour the program on your practice server now sends only what changed (with one full check overnight), so Open Dental barely notices. If a sync fails, it tries again in 2 minutes instead of waiting an hour.
- The activity log has a new Updates tab: it shows when your practice server picked up a new version (or could not), so nothing changes behind your back.
- Office Chat now looks like texting: your messages on the right in bubbles, everyone else’s on the left. Pick your own bubble colors, and see who has read your last message (“Seen by”). Offices can turn “Seen by” off.
- Office Chat for Windows: a real program for the office PCs, signed by MAV Computers LLC. It lives by the clock, pops calls for help up on top of everything (they even get through Do not disturb), and updates itself. Setup is a download and a code, no typing commands.
0.9.6.05-beta
October 15, 2026
- The theme button is now a proper Light / Dark / Auto switch (Auto follows your computer or phone). On phones it lives in My Account. Your eyes, your call.
- Phones: the filters moved into a bottom sheet, the menu drawer got a proper footer, and charts redraw when you turn the phone sideways.
- If a page can’t load, it says so right there with a Retry button instead of staying blank. Dialogs keep the keyboard focus where it belongs, and pressing Esc closes them.
- Date math fix: reports no longer lose or gain a day around daylight-saving changes. The clocks move; your numbers don’t.
- Error references are a little longer (E-7F3A2C instead of E-7F3A), so two different problems can never share one.
- Behind the scenes: off-site backup copies are checksum-verified on arrival, scheduled backups catch up after a server restart instead of skipping, morning emails retry if the mail service hiccups, and a few things got faster.
0.9.6.04-beta
October 14, 2026
- Morning Huddle: the schedule now fits one appointment per line, with readable procedure names, hour dividers and a “Needs attention” filter. Same patients, less scrolling.
- New: Notices from our team. Heads-ups like planned maintenance or account reminders now appear in a slim bar at the top of Chairlytics or as a short pop-up. Click the button once and it’s gone.
- The Audit Trail now has tabs (Sign-ins, Data sync, Patient data, Settings & users, Support access, Alerts & messages, Problems), so you can find what you’re looking for without wading through every sync.
- If a page ever fails to load, you’ll see a short reference (like E-7F3A) to read to us, and we’re already notified with the details.
- The Chairlytics Agent on your practice server got a fresh look: a clear status window with step-by-step fixes, a status icon that shows when data is moving, and a friendly setup window. It arrives with the next agent update.
- Your signed BAA can now live in Chairlytics: owners and office managers can download it from Practice Settings once we’ve added it. Paperwork, but tidier.
- The sign-in page got a brighter new look, with a little motion to match. Same password, nicer view.
- New: chairlytics.com itself got a makeover: brighter, livelier, and easier to read on a phone.
- New: Sign in with Face ID (or Touch ID and Windows Hello). Once it’s switched on for your practice, add it in My Account and skip the password-and-code routine. Your face stays on your phone.
0.9.6.03-beta
October 13, 2026
- Extra safety lock: the demo practice keeps its emails and texts to itself. It only emails you when you ask.
- Polish round: downloads are named after the practice, location and dates; long tables grow 50 rows at a time; charts show the goal in table view too; the (i) icons now actually explain things; yesterday’s numbers lead the Morning Huddle; and page titles are easier to spot.
- Email is switched on: sign-in links, alerts and briefings now arrive in your inbox, and replying reaches our help desk.
- The sign-in page got a makeover to match chairlytics.com. Same password, better outfit.
- New: Integrations. Tell Chairlytics which texting service you use (Weave, RevenueWell, NexHealth and others) and its texts count on the Call List too: texted patients get a few days’ rest from phone calls, and the bookings that follow count toward money recovered.
- New: “Download for a campaign” on the Call List, to start a recall or treatment campaign in your texting service.
- Better: Our support team can now see at a glance whether your texting integration is working, and fix it for you.
- You can now change your own name and sign-in email under My account. New email, same you.
- Minor fix: new bug reports now ring a bell on our side (well, a red badge), so yours won’t sit unread.
- New: Chairlytics now comes in plans. If a page belongs to a bigger plan, it says so instead of quietly hiding.
- New: A sneak peek at pricing on chairlytics.com. The prices themselves are still in the oven.
0.9.4.01-beta
October 12, 2026
- Minor fix: when we point the server check at a new backup folder, it now looks right away instead of waiting its turn.
- New: Call List. Patients with treatment waiting or an overdue cleaning, highest value first, with one-tap buttons to log each call. Chairlytics then shows the money those calls brought back once the appointment appears in Open Dental.
- New: Month forecast on the Today page: production so far, what’s on the schedule, and where the month is likely to land against your goal, with a “what if we fill more hygiene slots?” slider.
- New: We now keep an eye on your practice server’s backups, disk space and restarts, so we can step in before anything goes wrong.
- Better: Two-factor sign-in is now required for everyone at your practice. It takes a minute to set up with any authenticator app.
- Better: New practices get connected faster: our technicians now follow a step-by-step setup guide built into Chairlytics.
- Better: Users & Roles has more room, and new staff invitations start with the Front Desk role instead of Owner.
- Minor bug fix: a button on our side that was a little too eager to press itself has been asked to calm down.
- The app now shows its version at the bottom of the menu, so you always know which Chairlytics you’re talking to.
- New: Report a bug from any page, with a screenshot. You can black out anything private before you send it, and you can follow along under Help.
- New: A progress bar while your practice data is syncing.
- Better: Treatment Plans & Case Acceptance now works whether or not your office saves treatment plans in Open Dental.
- Better: Practices with very large databases open quickly instead of waiting on the loading screen.
- Minor bug fix: the alert bell no longer proudly announces that you have zero alerts.
- Our website screenshots were doing yoga. They have been asked to stop stretching.
- New: Invite your team with a one-time setup link. Passwords are never sent by email.
- Better: You stay signed in while you are working. Chairlytics signs you out only after 15 minutes of real inactivity.
- Better: Updates to Chairlytics no longer sign everyone out.
- Better: The practice server connector adjusts to your version of Open Dental automatically.
- Better: Smoother setup on the practice server, and a status icon that tells the truth.
- Several minor bug fixes. They had it coming.
0.9.0-beta
October 11, 2026
- First beta. Sixteen dashboards for production, collections, AR, insurance, scheduling, hygiene, treatment and more.
- One-step setup on the practice server, with a status icon next to the clock.
- Morning briefing email, alerts, and a Today view made for your phone.
- Two-factor sign-in, recovery codes, and Sign in with Microsoft for our staff.
- Practice server updates are signed and approved before they install.
